Climbing Currituck Lighthouse!

Located one and a half hours away form central Manteo, NC, is Currituck lighthouse. Nine stories high and colored a light brown shade, this monster stands over 162 feet tall! My parents and me collected our tickets at the counter outside and slowly walked on the steps to the first floor. We took a couple pictures and started climbing the steps. It took us totally ten minutes to reach to the top. At the top, the doorway was opened and we walked through. At first, I thought that it was covered in a dome of glass, but I was wrong! Fully opened, I could see as much as a bird could when it flies! Maybe even MORE! When I looked around, I saw the most prettiest sight I would have ever seen! Miles in front of me, I saw the Atlantic ocean! It was the a super pretty shade of blue,-(My favorite shade AKA my favorite color!). And to the north of me, I saw SO. MANY. TREES. And also a couple of houses. Then after capturing a few photos (okay, maybe a LOT of photos!🤣🤣🤣) we climbed down the lighthouse and also collected ''I climbed the lighthouse'' stickers! SUPER cool! And that was my experience of climbing Currituck lighthouse!
