Aloha Safari Zoo

This kid-friendly zoo is located in Cameron, NC and is so much fun! I can guarantee you anyone who visits here will come back with a smile on their face! We started off our trip by checking in and collecting our cups of animal food pellets so we can feed them to the animals. We got our chance right then. There was a big shed on the path we were headed. Inside, there were the cutest goats and one of the cutest deer I had ever seen! Who knew rescued, abandoned, or inured animals looked so cute after they healed? Everyone was feeding them so I guessed I could feed them too. There were two goats on the first cage standing up with the help of the fence practically begging for the food in my cup. I held the cup up to the fence and the goats started lapping up the pellets through the holes. It was so cute watching goats eat! After they turned around to eat from someone else's cup, I moved on. In the second cage there were more goats but this time with small curly horns. (They looked more like mini deer to me). I held the cup up to their cage too so they could eat. All three started fighting to get the food! After we finished feeding and taking a few photos, we just kept walking on the same path. As we continued to explore, we saw a hay ride and decided to go on for a ride on it. It took us about 5 minutes to ride all over the zoo. While we were watching the animals, the tour guide was throwing bread and carrots to the animals. When the she threw them on a small sand shoreline, the turtles that were basking on the rocks came running over at top speed to eat the bread before the birds on the shoreline ate it all! That was the fastest I have ever seen turtles run! 🙀🙀🙀 Check back in for part two of "Aloha Safari Zoo"!
